Meta AI chats are easier to customise 💬

When you click on the “What Meta AI remembers about you” option, you’ll be able to view how the AI tailors its responses to match your style and needs.

Meta explains it like this: “Meta AI automatically remembers certain parts of your chat to give you more relevant responses. You can also ask Meta AI to ‘remember this.’”

With this feature, you could ask Meta AI to remember things that matter most to you, like calling you by a different name, knowing your dietary preferences, or applying specific rules when suggesting ideas. This means your AI assistant could offer more meaningful suggestions that fit your lifestyle, preferences, and even your moods.

If your needs change, you can easily update these parameters so your AI doesn’t get stuck in old habits. Sure, you can always ask the AI to “forget” certain things, but having a handy list of what it remembers would make managing it much easier.

While this isn’t full-blown customisation, where you can build an AI from scratch, it’s a great step toward making your interactions with Meta AI feel more personal and helpful. Meta’s also working on something similar for Instagram, where you could create a chatbot friend with specific traits and personality.

Meta is clearly focused on making AI more customisable and personal. They’ve even hired Michael Sayman, the creator of Social.ai, which lets people engage with AI bots that each have their own personality. This hints that Meta’s future AI features could go even deeper into personalisation.
